   Société Anonyme

   the French equivalent of a British PLC or Public Limited company. A French Société Anonyme is a joint stock company with at least seven shareholders, and a minimum capital of 37,000 Euros for a non-quoted company, or 225,000 Euros if the company has a stock market quotation. See also SAS.
